Well, unfortunately, this blog is not going to have any photos. We are a cameraless family right now. Mine is in the "in between" somewhere in this house, and mom's camera won't turn on anymore because I think the battery is shot and won't charge.
So, on Saturday, Nov 28th, tooth #2 on the bottom came through. I honestly wasn't expecting it at all. She wasn't especially fussy or anything... just chewing on stuff still... but I just chalked it up to normal baby "everything-goes-in-the-mouth".
Today however, she is being pretty fussy and I can feel a bump on the upper right. She's just busting out teeth all over the place! I have been able to keep nursing through the bottom teeth, even though I was painfully bit a few times... but I'm not sure about top teeth. We'll just have to see!
Skills wise, she can only sit up by herself when she WANTS to... mostly just on the bed, couch, or in my lap. I can play patty cake and sing songs with her in my lap without having to hold her. But on the flat floor... she just topples over still. Oh, and in her highchair she likes to sit straight up without leaning against any of the sides.
Rolling over: JUST today she went once from her tummy to back. She's extremely efficient going back to tummy. I've put her down to sleep on her tummy now too, so I think that'll help. See, most babies used to go tummy to back first, back to tummy second. Now, since babies sleep on their backs instead of their stomachs, back to tummy usually comes first.
She does scootch a little bit, usually just around in a circle, not so much forward yet. But... yeah... crawling? Mommy is still not ready.
She still talks up a storm, laughs endlessly at the dogs, especially Zena. She had my mom and I just rolling with laughter one day because everytime Zena would turn around to face her she cracked up. She's really social again, hardly ever cries at strangers. She's gotten pretty used to loud noises. They used to make her startle and cry. But she still needs "quiet time" when she gets overwhelmed by big crowds and whatnot.
She loves her "Your Baby Can Read" stuff. I have the word "Swing" hanging up on her swing, and after about a week of it being there, when "swing" came on the screen watching her DVD, she got all excited. I know its because she recognizes it.
It's hilarious when people start singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" to her. The look she gives says, "Wow, you know this song too?!"
Probably like all babies, she is a huge fan of music. We sing a lot of songs, and she can space out listening to the Children's Songbook (primary) songs. And once in a while I have a hard time KEEPING her alseep at her bedtime, and I have found that playing music will keep her out if she's having a hard time sleeping.
I would say 95% of the time, she sleeps directly through the night. Then she goes back to bed about an hour after getting up around 6:30am. Then naps around 10, around 1, around 4 and then goes to bed around 7-8.
So........ I was all eager to give her some veggies, then Garrett and my mom told me about how much fun her diapers will be, and so I haven't given her any yet. LOL
But, tomorrow, we're going for pees. I am going to make all my own baby food. So, wish me luck.
I don't know if this was boring to you guys, but this is like my Starlynn journal... and as always, I can just keep writing and writing forever!
