10 Months Old

For some reason, 10 months old is kinda freakin' me out. I think because it's only 2 months away from her 1 year birthday! Little Bug is very busy learning and growing:
  • Has mostly given up rolling and army crawling for real crawling. She get's anywhere she wants to go now.
  • She is pulling herself up on stuff, which means life is getting interesting. Like:
  • Standing up in her crib and then getting "stuck" (hasn't figured out how to sit/lay back down yet)
  • Likes to stand and look at the fish
  • She turns off daddy's xbox and pulls down things from the entertainment center.
  • uhm... as you've seen she likes to play Patty Cake and loves eentsy weensy spider and all sorts of songs with hand motions, and just music in general. When the "hot dog dance" on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse comes on, she stops whatever she is doing and STARES at the TV until it's over. heehee.
  • Went to the zoo for the first time
  • Goes to storytime on Tuesdays and to her Parent/Toddler swimming class on Fridays.
  • MOSTLY sleeps through the night. Usually only wakes up at around midnight or 1, and I give her a bottle and she goes back to sleep.
  • Takes 3 naps a day. (one of them is only 45 minutes to an hour after she wakes up though), the other one around 11:00, and the other one around 3:30. Those naps go for an hour, sometimes more. Goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:30. Wakes up at 6:30, much to my chagrin.
  • Still hasn't refused or spit out a single food. I have to share pretty much everything with her.
  • Starting to drink from a sippy cup, but still mostly from her bottle.
  • Loves going places, either in the car or in her stroller.
  • "gagagaga" "babababa" and "dadadadadadada" Hasn't said "mama" since I posted that blog about her doing it. BUT, she always gives me huge snuggles and loves, and I can't ever walk out of the room without her fussing a little (unless she doesn't see me leave), so I know she loves me. :) Still says "ffffshhhh" a lot too. And can even make whistling sounds when she is making "s" sounds. "dddggg" too.
  • Will do these things on command (when nobody is watching of course, only when it's just a couple close people, she does that classic thing of 'forgetting' when it's time to perform) : kick, kick, kick! (she'll kick her legs), clap your hands, arms up, patty cake, throw em in the pan, wave your arms.

Well, that's probably enough of a list of what she's up to now.
